Three Kinds of Acne Treatments

Three Kinds of Acne Treatments

Acne is a rampant problem that spans generations. Although people in their puberty age are more prone to it, older people are not safe, especially if they have oily skins, which are more prone to acne. A pimple breakout is never a good thing, so unless you want it to ruin your greatest moments, you have to make sure that you fight acne and prevent it from coming back. You should look for an acne treatment that works best for you. There are three kinds that you can choose from

The first kind of acne treatment is homemade remedies. These have not been proven to really work against acne, but if the opinion of people who used them were to be taken as the judge, these can help you a lot. Homemade remedies include ingredients that you can easily find at home, which means that you do not have to buy anything.

During the weekends, you can treat your acne-severed face with a preferred concoction, leave it one for a few minutes, the rinse it well. You may see results immediately, or you may have to wait longer. There are many ingredients that you can use to cure acne such as rosewater and cumin powder.
The second kind of acne treatment is non-comedogenic products. These products are mineral or water-based, which is especially prepared for people with oily skins. Because they are not oil-based, they will not contribute to the clogging of the pores, which leads to acne. Instead, they help enlarge the pores just enough to flush out what is clogging it, and then turn it back to its normal size. Some of the comedogenic products that cause acne are the makeup that you use and other oil-based skin products. You must avoid these things from now on.
The last kind of acne treatment is over-the-counter medication. It is by far the most effective, and many people prefer to use it over homemade remedies that are unsure, and non-comedogenic products that have limited results.

Acne creams fall under this category, and there is no denying that of all the treatments against acne out there, the creams are the most preferred. When choosing an acne cream, make sure that you are avoiding dangerous products like salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide.

Both of these had been linked with skin problems, and even death. Since they are OTC products, you may think that they are safe. But in reality, they are not, so you better stay away from them.
